"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

On July 1-3, 2016, John Macarthur will be speaking at the Western Conservative Summit.   He's the third listed speaker behind Donald Trump and Sarah Palin.  Macarthur claims to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture while partnering with people and think tanks that want to change our world (see The Master's College's Alliance with the American Enterprise Institute).

I used to wonder about ministers who preach that we are in the end-times and anticipate a pre-Tribulation rapture but then they have funding campaigns to build bigger and better church buildings. Why pressure their congregations to give thousands of dollars of their hard-earned income in a struggling economy in which many do not even have jobs? These ministers have to know, based on Bible prophecy, that economic conditions are only going to deteriorate, which we had a preview of last week with BrexitBritain exiting the EU.

I now understand that these ministers have no intention of leaving this world, which they love, as the motto of the Western Conservative Summit avers, "This Land We Love" which contradicts 1 John 2:15-17 "Love not the world, neither the things in the world..."  John MacArthur is partnering with pseudo-patriotic Zionist revolutionaries whose agenda is not to "Make America Great Again" but to destroy America and "Make Israel Great Again."

As I see it, the Evangelical megachurches are being built for the worship of the Antichrist during the Tribulation period and reception of his Mark by the bewildered masses, many of whom will turn to the apostate churches seeking answers and help to survive.

True ministers of God are not trying to "Make America Great Again" but exhorting their congregations to prepare themselves to leave this world which will soon come under God's judgment. Our examples should not be these worldly pseudo-Christian conservatives but the great heroes of the Christian faith described in Hebrews 11:

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earthFor they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city." Hebrews 11:13-16

The evidence shows that you are right.  We've learned that the apostate church will be the basis for the New World Order.  We see that the megachurch leaders are Masons, occultists, and globalists like Rick Warren.  We see the megachurches accepting government funding and conditioning their congregations for service and slavery within the coming communitarian system.  We see leaders like Macarthur convincing church members that they are slaves and introducing them to occult practices.  And we see Macarthur now emphasizing that it's forgivable to take the Mark.  The megachurches are being built by Satan's ministers for the worship of the Antichrist.  Jesus Christ leads his church and Satan leads his apostate church.

John MacArthur's a puppet for the kingdom of the antichrist, which will say that "the best days are in front of us, we will have peace and safety". "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." (1 Thessalonians 5:3 KJB).

John Macarthur speaking:

"Now the question is, if you're living in the tribulation period, and you take this mark, in other words, you identify with the beast's empire will you still be able to be redeemed?  And I think the answer to that is yes, yes." (L)

Phil Johnson, the Director of Grace To You and John Macarthur's minister of propaganda, speaking:

"Though there is a stern warning against taking the mark of the Beast in Revelation 14, the sin is not categorically said to be unpardonable." (L)

I sent watchmanwakes a copy of TMC's abridgement of what MacArthur spoke on at the summit.  (I'll leave it to him if he wants to quote it on the forum.)  It is mostly about the anti-discrimination bill taking away the tax exempt status of religious institutions and unabling students to use Cal Grants at TMC.  While I hope this doesn't hurt all of Christianity in general, I have believed for some time that the college at least should not have a tax exemption.  After seeing the museuem and learning how much people like MacArthur and Welch are making as mentioned in the other thread, it's hard to see this as a non-profit, especially since most of the college's activities are for recruitment to their beliefs.  Students not being allowed to use Cal Grants will reduce the student body substantially as I know that was a huge help to me when I went there and I knew others who were getting it.  Both of these will hit this ministry right in the pocketbook.

I know they are making it sound like a witch-hunt, but in this ministry's case I think it is a good decision, as government tax breaks and funding should only be used for the public benefit.  If this church ran soup kitchens, fed the poor, encouraged others to volunteer, etc I could see this, but the high pressure sells tactics they use and deception with their staff benefiting monetarily, enough so to build a two story museum to their still living founder, then they need to learn to use what they have without government aid.

He blamed the gay issue for the bill, and I'm sure that's a major reason, but for him to go to these lengths and speak away from GCC about it, could it be a fear of what will happen without all this extra funding?  Also, without Cal Grants I can imagine only the wealthy will be able to stay at TMC unless they cut tuition down.

SB 1146 Update

On Sunday, July 3, 2016, our President Dr. John MacArthur spoke at the Western Conservative Summit, the largest gathering of conservatives outside of D.C. At that summit, Dr. MacArthur called SB 1146, "the biggest threat to Christian education in the history of the United States of America." Heard by the California Appropriations Committee in August, this non-discrimination bill removes Title IX exemption from religious higher education institutions. Currently on hold in the same committee, AB 1888 removes a student's ability to use Cal Grant for religious institutions.

Many of our alumni, students, parents and friends have been watching the current events surrounding the California Bill SB 1146. This is NOT just another piece of legislation; this is a critical issue that will directly affect the future of The Master’s College! As you would expect, Dr. John MacArthur has already submitted a letter registering our strong opposition to this bill which threatens institutions freedom to provide a quality education based on a commitment to Christ and His Word.

“SB 1146 challenges the very foundation of religious liberty that has been part of the heritage of the United States of America,” said Dr. MacArthur, president of The Master’s College. He goes on to say, “Freedom of religion is part of what makes our country and state what they are, and to restrict this freedom of religion goes against the very constitution that we follow.” In addressing the LGBT issues attached to this bill Dr. MacArthur states, “The Master’s College is clear about its biblical position in regard to LGBT issues. We love and care for all people, but we are obligated by our articles of incorporation and our bylaws to teach and practice what we believe in every aspect of campus operation.”

Next fall, The Master’s College will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary and should be allowed to continue forward without legislative attacks against our core beliefs.

So, what can you do?

  • Share with everyone you know – raise awareness with friends and family but also through social media using ‪#SB1146
  • ‬Pray – that God would intervene but ultimately that His will be done and that we would trust in Him no matter what we see occurring around us.
August 1st, California State Appropriations Committee will reconvene to discuss this bill. Until that time, our state representatives are on recess, working in their home districts.

Anyone living in the state of California should contact their legislators and voice their opposition. To find your California Representative, go to findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/. When corresponding, please be sure to include that you live within their district, you are deeply concerned about the impact of both AB 1888 and SB 1146 on religious liberty in California, their direct impact on TMC's mission and commitment to Christ and Scripture, and freedom for students to fund their preferred university.

Thankfully, we know the Lord is in control and we must always be faithful to all that His Word commands. We can only be faithful, strive for excellence and trust in Him. Thank you for your continued support.

They are a dangerous college and seminary, robbing parents blind, giving a sub-par education, no critical thinking skills and they should not be funded for this.

I have come to see The Master's Seminary as a franchisee training ground, simply selling the John MacArthur brand as a franchise to seminarians like a 7-11 franchise.

What kinds of jobs do people get with degrees from this school? Do you know? I can't imagine real employers in the real employer would be keen on having students with such a poor education.

More lunacy about the anti-discrimination bill was sent out yesterday:
Quote:
Dear Alumni,

As many of you may know, the California State Legislature is being presented with the SB 1146 bill that threatens to inhibit the future of religious education. As residents of this state we have the privilege and responsibility of having a voice in what goes in California. The time is quickly approaching for this to be voted upon and we are asking that you join us in voicing your opposition to this bill.  As a registered voter in the state of California, you can make a difference.

Faith-based education has three hundred years of history in this country and only now has it become an issue. Students have the right to choose between a religious or secular education without being restricted or persecuted by the government. Taking away that freedom of choice, not only violates the Constitution, but also would steal the vast and diverse educational opportunities this state prides itself in offering.  Many students have taken up that right to attend a religious school and Cal Grant aids over 16,000 of them.  SB 1146 would take that aid away from them, potentially displacing them from their college or university. If those 16,000 were displaced where would they attend, considering CSU’s turned away 30,000 qualified students last year? This bill is more of a hindrance than a help. Ultimately, there is no need for SB 1146. Those faith-based institutions, like The Master’s University, make their beliefs clear to all that apply. This bill is a bad solution to a non–existent problem.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?
To make your voice heard it is critical that you either call or visit your local representative.  They have made it clear that they do not receive or respond to email or letters, however hearing directly from a voter in their district does have an impact.  Below is the information for your specific representative.  Thank you for your continued partnership with The Master’s University and all of those that stand with us in defending our commitment to honor Christ and His Word.
In arguing the government should subsidize this cult, they actually have the nerve to compare TMC to CSU campuses, which charge probably about a tenth of what TMC charges, which is why CSU must turn away students every year.  The students turned away from TMC is usually because of the high cost.  Also, TMC does everything but make it's beliefs "clear to all that apply."  How anyone believes the logic of this is beyond me.
