Nepotism at Grace Community Church

According to forum user, StarrJ, when an internet search for "John Macarthur + Nepotism" is conducted, sites come up that mention Grace To You (GTY) and Freemasonry.  This is for a few reasons.  It's because John Macarthur's two sons hold the positions of Director and Treasurer at GTY.  It's because Kory Welch, John Macarthur's son-in-law, owns a private firm which is annually awarded a contract by GTY to do its video production.  This private firm, The Welch Group Companies, has been awarded approximately $3,500,000 over the last 5 years and about $775,000 annually from GTY for this work.  And the reason why the topic of Freemasonry comes up while doing this internet search is because there are Masonic symbols within some of the videos produced by The Welch Group Companies and there are Masonic/Occult symbols associated with GTY.  I will put in links where one can read more about this.

Pastor John Coleman, who has spoken at The Masters College, stated years ago on his radio show that John Macarthur once advertized (and Pastor Coleman had seen the flyer) that pastors could play a round of golf with Macarthur, have lunch at his home, and then finish off with a private bible study for $2500.

This type of thing is actually not unusual. I remember when I was there they had a group called the "President's Circle," that was for people who donated at least $25,000 per year I believe. They got to meet with MacArthur for dinner, an awards ceremony, and Bible study inside the Penberthy Dining Room. This dining room is not open to the public and is not the one the students, staff, execs, and professors meet in. It is only opened for special occasions, like when a celebrity is there to meet with MacArthur and execs or for things like this. Many students don't even know this dining room is there, as it is behind a locked door on the ground floor of the student union building. I got to go in a couple times and it is very impressive, with ornate chandeliers and very plush carpets, tablecloths, and wall mirrors. Also, the Penberthy family that the dining hall was named after are a very wealthy family that has donated a lot, and some of their children attended TMC during the time I was there. The deeper you dig into this cult is the more apparent the greed and humanism become. It's all about how much you can do and how much better you can look compared to everyone else. Those who show the most evidence with their life are supposed to be the most spiritual, succeeding the most at making Christ "Lord." If only they would read what Christ really taught about rich people.

This has probably been one of the more difficult parts to get MacArthur's followers to confront.  Many bury their head in the sand on this one and try to rationalize his lavish lifestyle by saying he gets paid a salary commensurate with a corporate president of a company with a similar size, not realizing fully what it means to make money as a pastor, college president, and writer getting royalties.  He built a two story museum to himself in Santa Clarita called the "Legacy Room" and people still did not wake up and leave, that is how bad the mind control is.  When confronted with the facts they usually counter with how much they think they have grown through his preaching.

As for what we can do, as far as this goes there's not much we can do except expose the facts.  Tell about these things and how much MacArthur, Welch, and others make off of this ministry.  Expose them to the more controversial doctrines like sovereignity of God, the counseling, restoration process, etc.  Remember, some may like his books and sermons but may not have been exposed yet to the more controversial doctrines that are harder to swallow.  Also, showing the info on this site about MacArthur's real intentions to change Christianity for the global elite may help as well.  As I said before, the money issue is one of the hardest to convince them of.

Why was John Macarthur invited to speak at a forum with Donald Trump and Sarah Palin?  Why was a supposed Christian pastor invited to speak with these global elites?
